This means the company has met established sustainable manufacturing and business practices as required by the SGP and has passed an onsite audit. cei is one of only 25 SGP certified printers throughout the US and Canada. The SGP promotes sustainable practices within printing industries for environmental stewardship and corporate responsibility. This reflects the company’s sincere commitment to provide the most environmentally "friendly" packaging available by reducing its carbon footprint. As a "Leadership Level" member, the commitment has been made to purchase greater than 30% renewable electrical energy from "green" energy sources. SFI Inc. is a fully independent, charitable organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management. Its forest certification standard is based on principles that promote sustainable forest management, including measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk, and forests with exceptional conservation value. The PEFC Council is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization which promotes sustainably managed forests through indpendent third party certification. The Climate Registry is a nonprofit collaboration among North American states, provinces, territories and Native Sovereign Nations that sets consistent and transparent standards to calculate, verify and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions into a single registry.
