Sustainable Green Printing Partnership

The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) has certified cei as a certified SGP printer. This means the company has met established sustainable manufacturing and business practices as required by the SGP and has passed an onsite audit. cei is one of only 25 SGP certified printers throughout the US and Canada.

Nextera Energy Resources

cei offsets a major portion of its electrical energy needs by purchasing renewable energy credits from Nextera Energy Resources, a nationally recognized provider. Our commitment to customers and the community is evident through the purchase of renewable energy credits in a quantity recognized in the "Leadership Level" of the EPA Green Power Partnership.

EPA Green Power Partner

cei is a member of the EPA Green Power Partnership at the "Leadership Level". This reflects the company’s sincere commitment to provide the most environmentally "friendly" packaging available by reducing its carbon footprint. As a "Leadership Level" member, the commitment has been made to purchase greater than 30% renewable electrical energy from "green" energy sources. Wisconsin Partners for Clean Air

As a member of Wisconsin Partners for Clean Air (WPCA), cei is recognized as an environmental leader in the business community. In collaboration with other partners, harmful emissions are reduced and air quality is improved.

Sustainable Packaging Coalition

cei is a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC), providing resources to help its customers meet market requests for more sustainable packaging. For more information on the SPC, visit www.sustainablepackaging.org.

The FSC sets forth principles, criteria, and standards that span economic, social, and environmental concerns. The FSC system includes stakeholders with a diverse array of perspectives on what represents a well-managed and sustainable forest. The FSC standards for forest management have now been applied in over 57 countries around the world. www.fsc.org

SFI Inc. is a fully independent, charitable organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management. Its forest certification standard is based on principles that promote sustainable forest management, including measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk, and forests with exceptional conservation value. The standard is used widely across North America and has strong acceptance in the global marketplace. www.sfiprogram.org

The PEFC Council is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization which promotes sustainably managed forests through indpendent third party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests. www.pefc.org

The Climate Registry is a nonprofit collaboration among North American states, provinces, territories and Native Sovereign Nations that sets consistent and transparent standards to calculate, verify and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions into a single registry. The Registry supports both voluntary and mandatory reporting programs and provides comprehensive, accurate data to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. www.theclimateregistry.org
