PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
cei, a market leading supplier of many flexible packaging and technical products located in Wrightstown, WI has an immediate opening for a Product Development Engineer to assist in the development and commercialization of new products/processes and product/process improvements by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules.
• Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.
• Provides technical expertise in areas of market responsibility including supporting Sales, Marketing and our Management teams via the execution of both strategic and customer-specific growth and maintenance projects
• Provides material & process expertise linked to market responsibilities including supporting Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing via the execution of material cost savings and productivity improvement projects
• As part of the execution of these projects:
o Identifies internal and external customer requirements
o Defines materials, structures and converting processes for incremental improvements and next generation type innovations and provides associated bills of materials for cost estimation
o Provides estimates of cost and time required for projects
o Writes and executes associated trials in Manufacturing plants and tests this material at customer facilities
o Defines robust commercial specifications including QC testing necessary to meet customer requirements
o Identifies laboratory and end use testing required and provides statistical interpretation of results
o Communicates results effectively via written trial reports and presentations to customers and senior management
o Coordinates projects to ensure timely completion.
• Provides bills of materials for cost estimation for customer bids.
• Travel is required - approximately 25-40% of time.
• Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university (preferably in engineering - chemical or package science); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Axapta Database software; Microsoft Outlook Internet software; and Microsoft Office software a plus.

Offset Press Operator
cei, a market leading supplier of many flexible packaging and technical products located in Wrightstown, WI has an immediate opening for a full-time Offset Press Operator on our 12 hour rotating shift schedule.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for running product on a press, directing the assistant on the press and for the quality of product that is running by performing the following duties.
• Read job orders for accurate information and ensures that crew is following special instructions.
• Starts press, adjusting speed, tension, and alignment of printing plate if necessary.
• Match and maintain ink color as needed.
• Cuts sample of printed material from end of printed roll and inspects for imperfections.
• Recommends specification changes based on machine performance and/or product runnability.
• Responsible for running quality product while meeting or exceeding company standards/run speeds.
• Responsible for minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoots quality printing issues in a timely manner.
• Able to adjust quality of paper using unwind and/or rewind tensions.
• Provides direction to assistants; teaches assistants all threading patterns and quality control test methods and procedures.
• Completes checklist for jobs going in the press and product run check sheet. Checks run condition reports for completion and accuracy.
• Operate anilox cleaner for cleaning anilox rolls.
Qualifications
Successful candidates should have High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Black Belt Engineer
cei, a market leading supplier of many flexible packaging and technical products located in Wrightstown, WI has an immediate opening for a Black Belt Engineer as part of the Continuous Improvement Team reporting to the Vice President of Continuous Improvement. The Black Belt Engineer manages and leads Process Improvement projects to help cei reduce defects and waste while maximizing product and service quality by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules.
• Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.
• Manages and Leads process improvement projects across all areas of the business as assigned utilizing Six Sigma Tolls and Techniques such as DMAIC and DFSS. Proficiency with control charts, histograms, statistical analysis, DOE’s, root cause analysis, preventive/corrective action implementation, control plans, statistical software, etc.
• Creates project plans and guides team members, including green and yellow belts, to complete their projects in a timely manner.
• Provides six Sigma training in the tools and techniques to the organization, specific to the job function or project requirement.
• Identifies highly impactful, ROI projects across the organization.
• Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with co workers, customers, and suppliers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• 4 year BS degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years experience in manufacturing, quality or Six Sigma position.
• Black Belt Certification.
• Proficient user in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and statistical software package.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must maintain confidentiality of information when appropriate.
• Decisive and persuasive.
