HELP DESK TECHNICIAN
cei, a market leading supplier of many flexible packaging and technical products located in Wrightstown, WI has an immediate opening for a Help Desk Technician.  This position will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. In addition, this position will be responsible for administration and internal support of the company’s PCs, printers, mobile phones and related equipment. Tasks include end user support and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Attempt to answer positively and successfully computer, software, voice, ERP or any business applicable questions offered by CEI employees.
  • Escalate service requests that cannot be resolved by the Help Desk Technician to level 2 (internal) or in the event of an obvious emergency to level 1 (outside)
  • Resolve general IT service requests as assigned
  • Strictly follow the help desk priority guideline which serves as a guide for prioritizing new service requests. Communicate feedback to manager if additions are needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on network resources communicating each resource’s status
  • Assist with surveillance of network resources ensuring that network resources are available and operate at acceptable levels

Requirements

  • Shift flexibility is required as production operations are 24/7.  Shift hours: 12pm – 8pm, 1pm- 9pm, or 2pm – 10pm along with on-call and weekend support on a rotation basis within the IT team.
  • Education requirements:  Associates Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination education and experience. 
  • Computer skills requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Microsoft Axapta, Internet Explorer and other browsers, TCP/IP, imaging software, scripting tools, SCCM, intermediate networking troubleshooting and Active Directory.

PROCESS ENGINEER

cei, a market leading supplier of many flexible packaging and technical products located in Wrightstown, WI has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer in our Bag, Pouch and Offset area.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Holds all crews accountable for working safely and ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures. Assists Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager in investigations of incidents and near misses and conducts Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) to determine corrective actions. Develops new SOPs if necessary to support safety initiatives and trains personnel against new SOP.
  • Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.
  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, prioritizing, testing, and implementing process improvement projects that support and sustain departmental and plant goals.
  • Onsite and offsite troubleshooting of process issues related to equipment and materials, working closely with production personnel, product development engineers, maintenance, management, and on occasion customers.
  • Implements solutions to the root cause of problems, and follows up with affected personnel regarding any process, product, or equipment changes. 
  • Uses a combination of practical knowledge & experience, engineering principles, facts and data, and systematic troubleshooting techniques to completely identify and eliminate process issues in the manufacturing environment.
  • Implements and validates conformance to IQ/OQ/PQ program.
  • Performs independent quality validation checks. Conducts daily audits of run conditions, samples, QC data. Updates and maintains files with data, and report information through spreadsheets and graphs.
  • Implements applicable Statistical Process Control tracking and reviews data on a daily basis. Brings areas of concern to appropriate manufacturing managers.
  • Primary driver for RCA development, resolution, implementation and continued conformance when applicable. Investigates internal and external complaints by doing root cause analysis and applying corrective actions.
  • Works closely with Product Development Engineer to formulate, review, and administer Bag and Pouch trials. Develops trial packets and run conditions, documents trial results, maintains trial folders, and works with PD Engineers to improve product performance and profitability. Primary focus in development effort is assuring newly developed products meet VOC, are commercially ready, and can be produced efficiently at acceptable quality levels.
  • Updates Standard Operating Procedures, and conducts training accordingly.
  • Contributes to planning of production operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Reviews QC specs daily to ensure accuracy; makes corrections as needed through Data Control personnel.
  • Works closely with Continuous Improvement personnel on process improvement initiatives. Contributes machine knowledge to the process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree (Mechanical Engineer Preferred) with 5+ years of plastics, paper processing, and/or flexible packaging experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge and experience implementing SPC, IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE. Prefer experience in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing training with Black Belt certification.

Knowledge of plastics extrusion, web handling, web winding, and associated process equipment strongly desired. Strong systematic troubleshooting and communication skills a must.

Self-motivated and energetic with ability to clearly communicate with various levels of the organization from Machine Operators to upper Management.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

We are pleased to announce an opening for a Customer Service Representative position as part of our Customer Service Team.  The Customer Service Rep performs a variety of duties to assist customers by taking orders, answering questions and resolving problems, as well as ensures orders will be ready to ship by performing the following duties.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Talks with customers by phone or via email and receives orders. Enters orders (including Trial Orders) into Axapta. Monitors status of all open orders and coordinates schedule changes as needed.
  • Initiates spec changes when necessary to the data control group; works with Graphics department on new designs and graphics changes.
  • Coordinates shipments and trucking; enters shipments into the Genco Mercy Gate System. Reviews bill of lading and packing list from shipping for accuracy; completes billing paperwork checking pricing and accuracy of quantities. Processes / Requests credit for returned product or billing issues.
  • Reviews daily report that shows when sales orders are complete and what finished quantities are on the order; update the lines on the sales order to match what was actually produced.
  • Reviews aged inventory and works together with sales to reduce aged inventory. Also monitors inventory for all finished good products.
  • Reviews major customer forecasting information and keep the Sales & Operations Planning Team abreast of any changes – customer intelligence.
  • Responds promptly to customer needs. Communicates order/scheduling changes and keeps customers informed of order progress.
  • Works closely with sales reps; keeps them informed of customer issues (complaints, late orders, pricing changes, etc.) and ensures pricing updates/changes are communicated to the proper group.
  • Fills out the appropriate forms necessary to initiate customer complaints; communicates customer complaints to both sales and the Quality Department and coordinates customer returns with the customer and cei Quality Department.
  • May manage small group of customers from a Customer Service and Sales Support role with the potential of additional business generation. Proactively calls and keeps in touch with them on a regular basis regarding orders, forecasting and to see if we can generate additional sales through regular contact vs. waiting for them to contact us to place an order. Logs sales calls into the Sales Force database.
  • Occasionally visits customers to tour facilities and to meet them in person.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required, plus one to three years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing or industrial environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred. FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTING EXPERIENCE DESIRED.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Processing software. Knowledge of Axapta, Sales Force and Genco Mercury Gate System a plus.
