Validate CEI's Commitment to the Environment

Coating Excellence is Chain-of-Custody (COC) certified with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). These certifications ensure customers that CEI's paper based products (designated as certified) come from well-managed forests.

Chain-of-Custody tracks paper products throughout their life cycle beginning with proper forestry management all the way to consumption by end-users. As a Chain-of-Custody certified manufacturer, CEI meets strict tracking requirements for ensuring that paper products sold as COC certified come from well-managed forests and recycled paper.

Customers can now request the base paper used in the manufacturing of their CEI-supplied products is certified to the standards of one or more of the above forest management agencies.

SCS-COC-002521	The FSC sets forth principles, criteria, and standards that span economic, social, and environmental concerns. The FSC system includes stakeholders with a diverse array of perspectives on what represents a well-managed and sustainable forest. NSF-SFICOC-C0023674	SFI Inc. is a fully independent, charitable organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management. Its forest certification standard is based on principles that promote sustainable forest management, including measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk, and forests with exceptional conservation value. PEFC/29-31-152 NSF-PEFCCOC-C0023674	The PEFC Council is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization, which promotes sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests. www.pefc.org
