Coating Excellence International was formed in 1997 by a group of experienced industry professionals that saw a need for a flexible packaging firm dedicated to providing superior service, quality, and innovation to the industry. Initially CEI was capable of poly-coating and poly-laminating paper with a 105-inch, high-speed extruder. As the business developed, to enhance its ability to cost effectively meet customer needs, CEI added slitter rewinders with a variety of capabilities. In January 2000, CEI started printing and installed a new eight-color, world-class flexographic press.

After seven expansions in ten years, adding new world-class equipment, and adding the required support infrastructure, CEI offers adhesive lamination, electron beam coating, extrusion coating and lamination, woven bags, and high quality market leading water-based flexo printing on paper and film, and offset printing. CEI has the unique ability to print wide 10-color, photograph quality images, including printing colors on the backside in register. CEI also has a line of tough high gloss coatings to enhance shelf appeal.
